Forget boiled, limp spinach and boring salads. Veggies rule! And in honor of summer and the Union Square farmer’s market, Michelle Pfennighaus is going to prove it. Stop by Grand on Saturday, June 20th from 12-2PM to sample and watch some tasty raw food preparations. Wondering about what exactly raw food is or how to cook fresh vegetables? Bring your questions.
Michelle Pfennighaus is a holistic health counselor and registered yoga instructor based in Boston, MA. For many years she suffered from debilitating anxiety and digestive disorders until finally healing herself through changes in diet and lifestyle. Michelle received training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is registered through Yoga Alliance. Currently, she works with clients all over the country to improve their health and happiness. We’re happy to announce that the Shepard Fairey piece that we’ve had up outside of Grand is now restored to its original GLORY!
As some of you know Shepard came to Grand last October to construct this piece which was subsequently vandalized a few months back. You can see more about we’re talking about here.
In any event we’re excited it’s back!

It’s finally here…the fantastic Union Square Farmer’s Market starts THIS weekend on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. That means it’s time for you to get over to Union Square and see what all the hype is about! That also means it’s time for us to wake up a little bit earlier and extend our Saturday hours. We’ll now be open at 10 a.m. on Saturdays, and close at 7 p.m. as usual.
And after you’ve loaded up on fresh farmers market goodness, stop by Grand to see what’s new! We’re stocking up on great summer goodies, from the perfect plates to serve up your greens to the softest summer tees. See you soon!
