Here we are. The week of Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? We mean really? Can you believe it? We’re in a bit of denial ourselves. So with Turkey Day, comes the fact that Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, and Boxing Day are literally right around the corner. Are you ready?
Well, we are and have the perfect gifts for you and yours this holiday season! And to start things off right we’re having a weekend full of events and sales.
Here’s the rundown:
Black Friday (11/27) – We’ll be open from 9AM-9PM and EVERYTHING in the store will be 10% off…but if you mention this blog post we’ll give you an additional 10% off, so that’s 20% off everything! We’ll also have some yummy hot cocoa and other treats to help you forget about holiday stress.
Saturday, 2-6pm (11/28) – It’s our monthly Sip & Shop, this time with Boston’s very own Harpoon Brewery! And as usual, everything in the store will be at least 10% off.
So there you have it! A weekend full of deals and good times to make this holiday shopping season a relaxing, fun, and economical one. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

Another weekend coming up means another event at Grand! This Sunday, from 12-4pm, we’re hosting a trunk show with Albertine Press, Somerville’s very own letterpress design and print shop. It doesn’t get more local than this! There will be all kinds of great goods for sale, including 2010 limited edition letterpress calendars, as well as lots of new holiday card designs, plus coasters, gift tags, journals, and prints. We’ll also be offering some adult beverages and treats to sweeten the deal.

Can you believe Halloween is this Saturday?!
Well, we can’t think of a better way for you to begin this devilish day than joining us for our October Sip & Shop from 2-6PM. Grand has teamed up with our old friends LUPEC to offer you what could be the spookiest, kookiest, freakiest, cocktail yet – The Halloween Punch. Can you handle it? It’s gonna be soooooo G-O-O-D!
Oh, and costumes are DEFINITELY encouraged. Repeat – costumes encouraged! In fact, the ladies of LUPEC will be awarding the best costume with a free ticket to their Tiki Bash in November.
Like every Sip & Shop, not only will your enjoy this ghoulish cocktail, but you’ll also enjoy 10% off EVERYTHING in the store. And can we just say that the store is filling up every day with new stuff in preparation for the holidays. Why not stock up now and avoid stressing in December.
And as if the Sip & Shop isn’t special enough, there will also be a [Boston EXCLUSIVE] book signing with Jill DeGroff for “LUSH LIFE; Portraits from the Bar.”
