Christmas is right around the corner and we have quite a few events planned before it happens, so we’re going to get right to it. Ready? 3-2-1 GO!
Saturday, December 18th, 2-6PM. Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project and Repeat Press Takeover of Grand. Pretty Things and Repeat Press are working on a top secret (not leaked by Wikileaks as of yet) piece that they will unveil to the world on Saturday at Grand. In fact, the Repeat Press folks are actually bringing a big letterpress into the store! For reals! Plus, while all this is going on you’ll be sipping on some of the tastiest beer around while shopping. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon. More details here.
Sunday, December 19th, 1-5PM. Designer/Illustrator Chris Piascik unveils the latest Print Brigade apparel collection! Illustrations from his new print series “All My Bikes” will also be featured. We’re thankful for a lot of things today, but just wanted to quickly say that we are very thankful for all of you who have supported us over the years (almost 3 at this point! hard to believe). We’re also thankful to be part of the amazing community that is Somerville.

On Plaid Friday (November 26) we’re going to have a B-I-G sale on everything at Grand. It’s as simple as that. How much, you ask? 20% off everything from kitchen wares, plates, clothing, baby gifts, jewelry, bags, and anything else in the store.
Oh and around 11AM Mayor Joe of Somerville will swing by with some press. So if you want to meet him and (maybe) be on TV be sure to be here then!
What’s Plaid Friday? Plaid Friday celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses. Plaid Friday is the fun and less stressful alternative to the big box store “Black Friday,” and is designed promote both local and independently owned businesses during the holidays. And don’t forget: every time you shop locally an angel gets their wings.
And let us just say we’ve spent the last few weeks curating the perfect gifts for you and yours this holiday season so if you haven’t been to Grand in a while, Friday is the day! Doors open at 11AM so after you freak out at the mall, come by our store to shop. That’s this Friday, 11AM-7PM.
